Objectives
To promote and facilitate the development of scientific and cultural relations between the Canadian and Romanian academic communities through activities such as:
- The initiation of professors and students exchange, universities twining, visiting professorships, student scholarships, graduate and post-graduate fellowships, grants for joint projects, seminars, workshops, conferences, etc.
- The setting up of chairs of Romanian Studies in Canada and of Canadian Studies in Romania.
- The organization of summer schools, round table discussions, and joint research in Romania and Canada
To foster public awareness of Romania in Canada by providing a forum for learning about Romanian society, its cultural life and traditions.
To strengthen the professional ties between its members through organization of various academic, cultural, social and artistic events.
To facilitate integration of highly-qualified new Canadians of Romanian origin to the Canadian academic community.
